Fogaça deixa o Partido Comunista do Brasil (PC do B), onde militou por 2 anos. O jornalista foi convidado para se filiar no PTB pelo presidente da Executiva estadual, deputado federal Nilton Capixaba, e do presidente da Assembléia Legislativa,deputado Valter Araújo. Segundo Fogaça, um dos principais motivos de sua saída é a disputa das eleições municipais em 2012, um projeto do qual o PC do B da capital, infelizmente, ainda não está totalmente preparado. “Deixo muitos amigos no PC do B e saio sem mágoas. O problema maior é que não posso mais ser refém de uma situação. Hoje, a falta de nominata forte para a disputa de 2012 me força a procurar outra legenda onde eu possa ter chances de eleição”, disse o jornalista. Fogaça disse ainda que outros membros do partido que possuem as mesmas pretensões políticas para 2012 também estão buscando novos rumos e alternativas políticas. O jornalista observou ainda que em 2010 teve que trabalhar para eleger outras candidatos na eleição estadual, justamente porque o partido já não tinha uma nominata forte que possibilitasse uma performance melhor nas urnas. “Hoje o PTB possui uma condição mais favorável e vem trabalhando forte em todos os municípios. É um partido mais consolidado em nível estadual e nos municípios rondonienses”, ressaltou. De acordo com Fogaça, a meta do PTB é trabalhar uma pré-candidatura própria a Prefeito onde o principal nome é o do deputado Valter Araújo e eleger de 4 a 5 vereadores em Porto Velho. “O partido trabalha com uma meta, o partido demonstra que possui um projeto político ousado e que antes de tudo privilegia os membros da própria legenda. Com o projeto de ocupar de 4 a 5 vagas representa uma chance enorme de eleição a todos os componentes que vão estar na disputa em 2012”, finalizou.
